We are seeking an Environmental Scientist to support the assessment, management and monitoring of environmental conditions across a varied portfolio of projects. This role will suit a motivated professional with strong technical knowledge, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering high-quality environmental outcomes. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and regulatory stakeholders to identify risks, develop practical solutions and ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and approval conditions.
Key responsibilities will include planning and undertaking field investigations, environmental sampling and site inspections; interpreting analytical and monitoring data; preparing technical reports, impact assessments, management plans and regulatory submissions; and providing clear advice on environmental risks and controls. You will contribute to environmental due diligence, pollution prevention, contaminated land assessments, ecological or natural resource investigations, and environmental monitoring programs as required. The role will also involve maintaining accurate records, reviewing contractor performance, supporting audits and incident investigations, and helping to implement corrective and improvement actions. Occasional travel and outdoor work in varying conditions may be required.
Applicants should hold a degree in environmental science, environmental management, ecology, earth science or a related discipline, together with relevant professional experience. Experience in environmental consulting, compliance, monitoring, impact assessment or project support will be highly regarded. You will need strong report-writing, data analysis and communication skills, along with the ability to organise competing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with environmental legislation, risk assessment methodologies, sampling protocols and relevant technical software is desirable. A current driver's licence and the ability to meet site-access or safety requirements may be required. We offer the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, broaden your technical capability and develop your career in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.
